Dear Ann,
A quick note to share a wonderful Tumblr with you and our readers. Warning: if you go to this Tumblr, you may be a while. It’s addictive. It’s wonderful. I want to get on a plane and fly to Santiago, Chile, to meet its proprietress, Mercedes Galarce aka Meme Galarce. I follow her on Twitter. I follow her on Instagram. I haunt her Etsy shop. The reason: I love her eye. She loves what I love. And if I didn’t know about it, when I see it on Mitimota, I love it.
Here you go, the dangerous link: Mitimota Knit Dreams. Click it if you dare.
Enjoy, everybody. Don’t be mad at me if you get nothing else done today. (And thank you, Meme. Fun fact: one of my early mentors, my friend’s grandmother Maria-Paulina Saporta de Rodriguez, born circa 1900, was also a Meme from Santiago, and she also had a wonderful eye for beauty.)
Love,
Kay
OMG, it’s yarn porn at its finest.
Love it. Santiago is well worth the trip. Chile is fabulous. You should put it on your list.
Thank goodness it made my computer freeze before my head could explode. Still, as far as I got, I did not see any grape-y gravy boats, so at least there is some corner of my eye candy bank I can call my own. Thanks, Kay!
Wow. Hours, and hours, . . . and hours of entertainment. Thanks.
Nice!! Very, very nice!!
Hey, if one is old enough to browse on Tumblr, is one really “too old to be onTumblr”? Just saying. 😉
LoveDiane
I had that same thought…
Not to belabor a point that I specialize in belaboring in, which mean I’m immune at all, but it is the photography that is killing it here. At least equally to the knits. I am powerless when I see tumblrs or pinterest boards like this. (and, in 2014 I WILL cover a stool or low bench with granny squares. It is good to have attainable goals, right?).
Wow. My day is shot and yes, it is the photography too!
Of course I clicked it – and I plan to click it again and again, etc. This is great stuff and I appreciate the share.
Anyone know what pattern that luscious yellow sweater is? It’s the one with raglan sleeves, where you see the back view and the to-die-for lace panel. Not that I’m completely smitten, or anything like that, mind you!
Really lovely. And I have a question: if I subscribed when first asked, am I still subscribed? because I got 2 emails about the previous post and none for this…
Also, I saw Bowling Ave. at my lib today and immediately checked it out because it will show demand, right? So Ann, what’s coming soon? I can keep reading this one or you can write a new one, your choice.
Admiring the time and energy you put into your website
and in depth information you offer. It’s awesome to come across a blog every once
in a while that isn’t the same out of date rehashed material.
Excellent read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your
RSS feeds to my Google account.
