LOVE STORY SHAWL
Designed by Hélène Magnússon
Field Guide no. 26: mOSS
Specs & Details
This floaty shawl is a celebration of Hélène’s own yarn, Love Story Einband. Hélène highlights the frothy transparency of laceweight lambswool by working with a single strand for much of the piece, occasionally mixing in rows that combine 1 strand each of 2 colors, for a dash of marled texture. The lacy stitch pattern is easy to memorize—every other row is a rest row in which you simply knit or purl across. At the end of this pleasant process you have a halo of weightless warmth to envelop your shoulders and neck, just waiting to take flight in a coastal breeze.
