Joji Locatelli
As a child, Joji Locatelli learned to knit from her mother but she didn’t imagine a career as a knitwear designer until many years later—after finishing medical school, working as a doctor for a couple of years, and starting a family.
She burst onto the knitting stage in 2010 with the online publication of an elegantly engineered cardigan. In the more than a decade since that cardigan’s debut, Joji has continued taking bold steps. Her vision has unfolded in hundreds of designs, made by thousands of knitters, each one fueled by curiosity, unrestrained by convention. To complement the knits, she has also expanded her enterprise to include leather bags and accessories designed with the particular needs of knitters in mind.
From her home in Buenos Aires, Joji has traveled the globe both virtually and in person, and she shares her designs and her generous worldview in a busy feed of photos and stories on social media.
