What: Nash Yarn Fest, a gathering of knitters, crocheters, fiber lovers
When: Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 2025
Who: You! Plus 50+ vendors from 25 states, Canada, and the UK. See them all here! And a happy horde of fellow knitters and crocheters.
Where: The Fairgrounds Nashville, a state-of-the-art space, air conditioned, with a courtyard outside. It’s in the center of Nashville, just down the road from MDK World Headquarters. We’re thrilled to have a wonderful space for this gathering.

The Headliners
First of all, we welcome our special guests, Arne and Carlos!
Direct from Norway, these world-renowned designers and teachers will be leading a workshop, giving a talk, and visiting with everybody all weekend long. We’re thrilled to have them back—their first visit to MDK was an instant sellout, so we wanted to be sure to have them back as soon as possible.
The Schedule
Norwegian Knitting Workshop with Arne and Carlos
Friday, March 14. 9:00 am-noon or 1:00-4:00 pm
At MDK World Headquarters, you’ll be with Arne and Carlos as they share their favorite Norwegian knitting techniques, as well as an overview of their amazing design career. This is an opportunity for learning, laughs, and a great time spent with fellow knitters. You’ll leave with new skills and a ton of inspiration. This one workshop will be offered at two times: 9:00 am-noon and 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Yarn will be provided; BYON (bring your own needles!). $199.
Opening Night Party
Friday, March 14. 6:00-9:00 pm
Nash Yarn Fest begins at the Fairgrounds Nashville with a festive celebration. Jump right in! Includes admission, a special talk by Arne and Carlos, two beverages, and the NYF Opening Night Party swag bag. The 50+ vendors will be ready to welcome you. We’ll have music, food trucks, and ample room to settle in and enjoy a great night in the company of people who like to knit and crochet as much as you do. $75.
Nash Yarn Fest: The Big Day
Saturday, March 15. 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Come early, stay late. Spend time with the 50+ vendors who have come from 25 states, Canada, and the UK. We’ll have talks, demos, meetups all day long. Food trucks, furry visitors from local farms, the company of fellow makers. Expect all sorts of fun on the main stage—we’ll have seats and tables for relaxing and visiting with each other. $25.
NYF Afterparty
Saturday, March 15. 5:00-7:30 pm
Want to keep going? Come to MDK World Headquarters for a casual knit/crochet hangout. Beverages, snacks, and tours of our beloved studio and warehouse. Shopping for those who simply cannot have too much yarn. We mostly don’t want you to ever leave. $20.
Plus: A VERY SPECIAL EXPERIENCE
Nash Yarn Fest Getaway. March 14-18

Sounds like a fun time, but I’m wondering how BOYK can mean “bring your own needles.” Must be a Norwegian thing!
