So, so many fun events are coming to MDK during the next few weeks that the best way to give them a big ol’ spotlight was in a Snippets Live! spectacular. Think of it like an old-school variety show—but with less Sonny and/or Cher and more Ann Shayne and handknits.

Which isn’t to suggest Ann couldn’t rock the heck out of a Bob Mackie gown.

Designer Florence Spurling dropped in to give an overview of her Elvan Shawl intarsia class on Oct. 11. Her affinity for detail and decoration is high; her ability to scale intarsia for all skill levels is also high.

Ann provided a run-down of Nash Yarn Fest, including fresh additions to the schedule—an in-person workshop with Arne and Carlos, the pre-party, the afterparty, and a Nash Yarn Fest Getaway with Yarn Culture’s Patti Odinak.

Be sure to set your alarms for the ticket rope drop at noon eastern time on Tuesday, October 1.

In her closing monologue, Ann sings the praises of Nashville and why you should come for a visit. It’s not just country music and meat-and-threes anymore. Not that Nashville doesn’t have those still, just that there is so much more to love.

Let Ann show you why.
