You’ve Got Snippets: October 5, 2024
Dear Knitter,
Happy Saturday!
Did you see our big news? Nash Yarn Fest—our dream gathering of fiber folk in MDK’s hometown, Nashville—is really happening, and tickets are on sale now!
March 14-15, 2025 will be the first-ever Nash Yarn Fest—a gathering to celebrate everything we love about the knitting world. Wonderful vendors and special guests are signing on and we’re hard at work creating a superfun experience.
We’ve set up the events as separate tickets so you can choose your adventure as you like. You’ll find all your options and tickets to purchase at nashyarnfest.com.
If you haven’t already, meet our 50+ amazing vendors—they’re coming from 25 states, Canada, and the UK. We’ve got lots of fun planned, and we really hope to see you there.
Coming Up Real Soon
Our next great virtual workshop is coming up NEXT FRIDAY! On October 11, learn intarsia with one of its great teachers— Florence Spurling. This virtual workshop features the beautifully manageable motifs of Florence’s stunning Elvan Shawl.
We’re offering a gorgeous kit of yarns by Kokon (the colorway really sings), or you can opt to bring your own yarn and take the class by itself. Read all about it and sign up here.
Reminder: Subscribers Save!
Field Guides subscribers save 10 percent in the MDK Shop, so pick your sweater quantity of Jane, or Felted Tweed and Kidsilk Haze, and join the fun of Field Guide No. 28: Renewal. You’ll have a great project to knit and a wonderful garment that’s ready in time for the change of season. And remember: the subscriber discount also applies to virtual events too!
Meanwhile…

Nobody can tell a yarn’s story like Jillian Moreno. Our resident yarn detective investigates Jane, our new yarn.
Kate Atherley’s way of looking at grafting will blow your mind.
Kay ran off to Paris for two weeks and all she got was this amazing cardigan.

Your Support Is Everything—Thank You!
At MDK, supporting and elevating the knitting life is all we think about, every single day. It’s vital—and easy—to support MDK.
When you shop with MDK, sign up for our workshops, or share our content with your knitting friends, you’re also supporting the yarnmakers, artisans, teachers, and writers that we feature here. It’s a daily challenge to make our tiny business go, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps us do that. Thank you!
Questions? Email us anytime at hello@moderndailyknitting.com, and you’ll get a prompt response from a real live MDK person.
Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.
Love,
Ann and Kay
