You’ve Got Snippets: October 19, 2024
Dear Knitter,
Happy Saturday!
Here’s an exciting event that’s coming up soon: on November 15, technical knitting whiz Kate Atherley will be teaching a brand-new virtual workshop on a topic that readers have clamored for.
The topic is the juiciest: Reading Patterns and Charts with Confidence. We’re going to walk into our time with Kate as our rumpled, slightly confused selves, but we will stroll out with a spring in our step. With Kate as our surefooted guide, we’ve got this!
Read all about it, and sign up here. You’ll be so glad you did.
Find Us in Rhinebeck this Weekend
It’s that time of year again! We will both be at the New York Sheep & Wool Festival. On Saturday (today!) you can find us all day at our table in the Merritt Bookstore, Building B. On Sunday, we’ll be free-ranging, soaking up immaculate autumn vibes and visiting with our favorite vendors. If you see us, we’d love to say hi!
Meanwhile…
We had a big time on MDK this week.
Dana Williams-Johnson has entered her intarsia era.
When was it great? What made it great? Max Daniels encourages us to look for themes in our own lives.
The mission: visit every yarn store she could. Tag along with Patty Lyons to the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
Ann is glimmering and savoring her way to a beautiful Jacobs Cardigan.
You know us: we’re always scheming up fun for you. Ann shared three big things that are afoot.
Your Support Is Everything—Thank You!
At MDK, supporting and elevating the knitting life is all we think about, every single day. It’s vital—and easy—to support MDK.
When you shop with MDK, sign up for our workshops, or share our content with your knitting friends, you’re also supporting the yarnmakers, artisans, teachers, and writers that we feature here. It’s a daily challenge to make our tiny business go, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps us do that. Thank you!
Questions? Email us anytime at hello@moderndailyknitting.com, and you’ll get a prompt response from a real live MDK person.
Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.
Love,
Ann and Kay
PS Please forward this Snippets to a knitter friend—we appreciate it so much!
