The Bunchalong Grand Prize Winner Is . . .
The Bunchalong is nearly over!
Long live the Bunchalong!
We’ve had a grand time cranking out irresistible little projects from MDK Field Guide No. 8: Merry Making. The group over in the Lounge has been merry indeed, and it’s been fun seeing the presents pile up, and the weekly prize awards.
Now is the time to award the grand prize: a $200 gift certificate to the MDK Shop.
It was not easy to pick a winner, but one buncher-along stood out, for the sheer joyful abbondanza of her knitting.
This photo of 14 Slip-Stitch Caps by Tanya stole our hearts and captured the true knit-your-butt-off spirit of the Bunchalong.

Tanya’s caps are beautiful individually, and stunning as a group. If she had pom-pommed them, we’re not sure we could have stood it. We might have died from cute.
And we hear that Tanya went on to knit six more. What got into her? Who are they for? Whoever they are, they are lucky to know Tanya.

This has been one of the most laid-back yet energetic knitalongs we’ve experienced. We thank all the hearty, industrious knitters who participated, whether in the Lounge, on Ravelry, or via the Instagram hashtag #mdkbunchalong, which we hope continues to grow and inspire big-hearted gift-knitting for years to come.
Thanks also to Thea Colman, for designing a collection that really hits that “just one more” spot, with a great balance of knitterly interest and lazybones ease.

Brava Tanya! A quick look at her Ravelry projects reveals she also has made 16 (!16!) Water hats by Thea Coleman since September! Such an inspiration this Tanya is. Congratulations!
