Summer Reruns: Curl Up with a Good Book
Dear Ann,
In case you haven’t noticed, we’re fond of books around here. Although there may be fewer new knitting books in this age of the digital download, the ones that get the green light from publishers are of very high quality.
At MDK, we have Our Guy On Books, Franklin Habit, to cover the knit-lit beat.
Franklin has high standards, superb skills with both words and stitches, and a soul full of humor, whimsy, and joy. When Franklin thinks a book is worthwhile, he tells us why.
Plus: his reviews are a pleasure to read in themselves.
Now would be an excellent time to catch up on Books with Franklin. It’s back-to-school, after all!
Here’s a year-to-date listing of books, with links to Franklin’s reviews. Put a virtual sticky note on the ones you want to remember, and save them in your MDK account so you’ll have them handy when it’s time to study for the test.

Perhaps this is a good time to update my Amazon wishlist. The holidays are coming.
I love real books, their pages between covers! Thank you for this wonderful list! My library continues to grow.
I bought Yarn Substitution Made Easy on your recommendation and immediately recouped the cost in not making a horrible substitution choice. Beyond that, I have learned so much about yarn and why we use this and not that for various projects. Thank you.
