Atlas Insider
Atlas Insider: Tin Can Knits + Atlas
Dear everybody,
Big doings: Tin Can Knits has a brand-new collection of designs.
Lazy Sunday, it’s called—a dozen truly scrumptious patterns. A boatload, a cornucopia, a banquet!
Emily Wessel and Alexa Ludeman are a legendary pair, with designs that are loved by legions of knitters.
We’re gobsmacked at the news that two of these designs call for our Atlas yarn. It’s a thrill and an honor to see Atlas finding a home with Tin Can Knits.
Come have a look.
Glorious Texture
Meet Peregrine, a cabled, textured triangle that will serve as a shawl, a baby blanket, a scarf, a head covering—however you use it, it is beautiful.
This is the sort of thing that Tin Can Knits delivers without a blink: gorgeous cables and a mix of textures. We’re loving the way Atlas looks when used in this way. Peregrine comes in two sizes, calling for five skeins or seven. The larger version is shown here.
Isn’t it lush? This is so much our cup of tea. You’ll find the pattern here.
A Snurgly Hat
Meet Snowglobe.
Emily and Alexa love a good hat, and we love what they’ve done with this one.
As usual with Tin Can Knits, they’re good about writing patterns for a range of sizes, so there are six hat sizes here. One or two skeins of Atlas will get you to hat glory—a great introduction to Atlas if you’ve not yet tried it.
You’ll find the Snowglobe pattern right here.
And you’ll find the entire Lazy Sunday collection here. There’s so much to love.
Thanks, Emily and Alexa! Best of luck with these cozy new designs.
Love,
Ann and Kay

I am smitten with my Harvest cardi! I think the simplicity of the design is absolutely lovely. And I appreciate how clearly they write all their patterns. Currently knitting love note, it is working up so fast!
My favorite TCK pattern is Fly Away blanket.
I’ve knit Flax and the Antler cardigan a few times, but my favourite would have to be Moraine (currently in progress, modified to be a steeked cardigan). So excited to wear it this fall!
I’m planning to do the same thing after I finish holiday gift knits! It will be a first time for steeking for me, so I’m a little apprehensive.

Love Note is at the top of my list of their patterns that I want to make, but I also really like North Shore with the mountains and trees in the colorwork. I have made the Simple Yet Effective cowl and it is just that! And it’s free!
My favorite Tin Can Knits pattern is the Pop Blanket. I made it for my second grandson when he was born.
So many patterns, so little time, but I’m taking the easy way out…. Today, I’m in love with the Snowglobe Hat.
The Flax sweater.
Strange brew!
I think Posy is an amazingly beautiful shawl.
Beloved, and Apple Pie hats
Viewfinder. So simple and perfect for a special skein.
Love the tin can baby bonnet. Knit two years before I had a grandchild!
Was a late in life one. Their designs are very special.
Pop blanket!
Love Note!
Lovenote!
My favorite is the harvest sweater- I made one for my granddaughter who has loved it!
It has to be Flax sweater. Made 4 of these for my grandkids so far . Good go to pattern .
Fly Away, or Love Note, or Harvest. So many great patterns that I have made multiple times in multiple sizes.
Like most people here I have knit many many Tin Can patterns. Not sure why buy Beloved gets me every time. Such a perfect sweet baby hat.
*but not buy. I wish I could edit the my above comment.
I am in love with the goldfish sweater. I have two new grand babies and cannot wait until they are big enough for this sweater.
Strangebrew. My guild did a knit along challenge with that pattern and I FINALLY found a pattern that helped me knit to the correct size! I LOVE my finished sunflower cardi.
Strange brew!
Antler mittens!
Flax light is a great sweater pattern, especially with the added short rows.
The Flax sweater and the Antler cardigan.
I’ve never looked at Tin Can Knits before, so what a lovely time I just had looking at their page! My favourite must be rockfall; it was a hard choice, but this reminds me of my favourite sweater my grandmother made me. I wore it in kindergarten, and still remember it so fondly.
I’ve not knit any yet, but I dearly want lumberjack socks, barley lite hat & grain shawl. Oops, more than 1, can’t help myself!
Gramps and Fly Away!
Favorite is marshmallow – simple design, but so cozy. Also love Fly Away – but hard to choose even 2.
The first Tin Can Knits pattern I ever saw was the Bounce blanket. I just love the colors. It’s the same with Vivid. And by coincidence I’ve just (finally!) jumped on the Love Note Bandwagon and am most of the way through the lace yoke. I can imagine knitting a few of these.
They have a wonderful portfolio, don’t they! I’m going with crowd favorite Love Note, that I have yarn for but am yet to knit.
Flax
Good heavens – so many of their patterns are in my favorites (and library and queue). Love Notes has to have a mention and I could happily knit most all of the hats – especially Apple Pie but if I’m narrowing to one, maybe the Pop blanket.
Urban Hiker. Wait! No! Penny. How cruel you are to make us choose.
Love Note would be my favorite so far. The new collection looks great, too.
Lots of great patterns! I like Antler the best.
I love Strange Brew!
The Awash scarf is my favorite!
Peregrine is my new favorite — love the cables!
Flax – a classic
Barley! Made loads of these hats for family last Christmas. Love Note, Antler & Estuary are in my queue.
Their Anthology hat/cowl recipe is my go to pattern for riffing on other patterns and motifs! Love it.
It must have been a scarf long ago – and the yarn really did come in a small tin can. Now I’m wondering where it is and will have to hunt. I kept it because it was so clever.
My Favorite Tin Cans Knits pattern is The World’s Simplest Mittens. Time and time again….
Beloved Bonnet — it’s so cute and fun to knit!
I ❤️❤️❤️ Tin Can Knits designs!! My first sweater was the Flax! I’ve made 3 sweaters from this design! Barley is amazing and I’ve made so many of those!
Hi!
I’m already a subscriber and my favorite Tin Can knits pattern is Barley as it was my first. I will be knitting Gramps.
Rye socks is my favorite TinCan Knits design. great first sock pattern.
So hard to pick just one…love Pop and Vivid…not to mention their hats and mitts
Gramps and Flax … hard to choose from all the others, though
Hands down, Flax Sweater!!!
I have never made a Tin Can Knits pattern. Nonetheless, my favorite is The world’s simplest mittens. I love mittens and want to try this pattern.
Just finished another Beloved bonnet in Baby size for 4 month old granddaughter! Time to start working on the Toddler size:) Such an ingenious and beautiful design!
So many to choose from! I’ve made Harvest and Barley Light, and have yarn wound for Low-Tide. I’ll make a Gramps one day. But my favourite is probably Goldfish, which I will hopefully make for a grandchild one day :). I’d love a toque in Atlas!
I love so many of their designs – it is definitely hard to choose – the last one I made was Peanut – I love all of their baby sweaters – so adorable and great knits – their new book looks amazing – thanks for the giveaway – keeping my fingers crossed (its definitely harder to knit that way lol!)
My favorite all time Tin Can knitting pattern is the World’s Simplest Mitten pattern
Barley hat – it was my second project I had ever made and I was hooked on Tin Can Knits patterns – I knew that their pattern support would be such that I would be successful! I think i have literally made at least 10 Barley hats – I always recommend Tin Can Knits to all new knitters!
Barley hat
Spotlight pullover is my favorite. I wish I was better at stranded knitting.
Strange Brew – I love this template style pattern
Wenlock, love the neckline,
Thanks for the chance to try out Atlas.
OMG I love tin can knits – my favorites are Clayoquot Toque and Gramps, which I have to confess is still a UFO from 2017. The yarn is not soft enough, so I am going to try again with something more suitable, maybe Atlas?? It was started for a boy who’s now 9, but I’ve got a three year old grandson now, so might be able to make it.
Oops – I just remembered I made the Malt blanket for the State Fair of Texas and won First Prize!! I forgot it was tin can knits.
The antler togue and Gramps sweater. I made an antler hat for my granddaughter and knitting another right now for SIL. Made the Gramps & barley hat for my nieces new baby. Love the size range of their patterns!
It’s got to be Lovenote. So beautiful! Gramps is a close second.
I made the Snap hat, a lovely and fun marled fabric design.
Love Notes sweater
So far, Antler!
So many are lovely but my favorite is in the free booklet. Flax. Bon Bon hat and Playdate Cardigan come in very closely.
Well, I’m always partial to a watch cap, I’ve made hundreds to give away. It’s fun to try a new pattern to keep it interesting
Mittens —
I love Mountain Mist.
I’ve bought several patterns but I think I have only knit Love Note and I have knit 2 for myself and 1 for my sister.
I’ve always loved POP Blanket
Flax sweater is on my list!
My favorite Tin Can Knits pattern is their Fly Away Baby Blanket. I am working on my 3rd one now.
Barley the hat, it’s a classic for the 21st century. I like knitting it and I recommend it to new knitters looking to go one step beyond a plain hat.
I’ve always loved the simple yet classic look of the Flax (and Flax light) pullover. Thanks for the giveaway!
The Clayoquot sweater. It’s a more graphic colourwork design, not fussy.
Penny, Bonnie, and Photosynthesis
How do you choose a favorite? Their patterns are great! I love my Love Note. The Snowflake I knit for my niece was adorable! Because of the size range the Rye Light socks are my go to pattern for kid socks.
Flax, Flax light and Barley
Love Note sweater
Love note!
EVERY SINGLE ONE of their colourwork yokes!!!
Posey is my favorite pattern. It is expertly written and the shawl is perfection!
I love me some Winding Way socks.
Love the new shawl especially in unison with braids of cornrows!
Strange Brew!
I love the Love Note!
I’ve made many pairs of Maize mitts, in all sizes from toddler to adult – they make the perfect gift!
Harvest, the cardigan I’ve made once and will make again now that the moths have gotten it! I love love love all their patterns.
I’ve never knit any of their designs, but they are in my Favorites in Ravelry. I do like the hat featuring Atlas, so I’d love to check both out.
Flax light pullover sweater. I love making it for baby gifts.
Love Note!!! I’ve made two and would totally make another.
I have so much love for tin can knits! Their colorwork designs are so inspiring and they use color in such interesting ways. All that said, I’ve knit the flax hat so many times! It’s a great pattern and delivers reliably beautiful results. It’s such a great way to show off a special skein.
Clayquot!!! I love the hat.
Carousel hat!
I love wenlock but Botany is also in my cue
World’s Simplest Mittens. I love that pattern!
Peregrine
I’ve knit more than a few TinCanKnits patterns. my 2 favorite patterns are Gramps and compass. I loved these so much I knit 2 compass sweaters one for my sister and one my daughter stole or rather borrowed from my dresser and hasn’t given back. And gramps was gifted to a family friend – I knit 2 sweaters and the her adorable boys wore these sweaters to their adoption ceremony.
The love note sweater is ONE of my favorites. It’s hard to pick just one.
The Westerly hat is the best. Perfect quick knit that calms my soul as I knit and results in a hat!
Just love Dog Star. The new Lazy Sunday collection is amazing!
I like all their designs.
Can I say the new wrap? Wow love that cabling!
love “sunshine” – one day I will knit this!
Ooh – so many – they do wonderful patterns.
Possibly lullaby baby blanket – not a difficult knit and a gorgeous result
I like their Rye and Barley designs, although there are others I would like to try. So many designs, so little time!
Pont Neuf Cardigan. Full disclosure: I have not made this (yet) but the design has so many clever elements that I just stare at pictures of it when I need some inspiration to knit outside my comfort zone.
Bounce.
Barley hat and Oats cowl.
Sweet shop cardigan.
The Antler toque! Maybe the new Snowglobe toque will be even better!
Kriste’
Pop Blanket. Love bright polka dots!
Tin Can Knits are some of my favorite patterns and designers! I especially enjoyed making and wearing Love Note n the cooler weather. Their patterns are great for the whole family!
Penny Hat.
favorite tin can knits pattern is love notes sweater but like their basic sweater patterns as well
I love the simplicity of the Flax pullover, but I may have to rethink that favorite for one of the Tin Can Knit’s new designs! There is no shortage of beautiful designs to choose from!
My favorites are the two cardigans modeled by the children. Very cute!
Flax Light! Love the size range, which goes from baby through full adult!
The Flax and Flax light sweaters are a fave! Simple sweater that has just a little visual design interest. Super easy to hack, too!
Oh my gosh! Several!! The one I have knit the most is Barley.
I live the Pop blanket.
I guess my favorite must be Wheat since I have made so many of them. I love the simplicy of the design coupled with the added interest of the texture and directions in the scarf
Love the Hush Sweater.
So hard to choose. Love the whole Simple Collection with Flax having a slight edge
Fly away blanket. Made it for multiple babies!
My favorite is Love note. Such a flexible pattern.
Flax sweater! My go to knit for baby gift!
Antler, with everything else a close second!
My favorite Tin Can Knits pattern comes from their wonderful “Strange Brew”collection. It’s the Trek sweater: it never fails to get compliments when I wear it! Main color is chocolate brown with the yoke patterned in brilliant aqua, orange, white, yellow. Love it!
I’ve made the Rye Light socks and they are great!
Love note!
Am at the New England Knitters retreat. One lady has the beautiful Lush cardigan in a rust color. I want to make it!
Flax and Flax Light. Simple, straightforward, interesting sleeve detail, practical.
I love the Timber fingerless mitts pattern!
Of course Love Note….but it is still on the needles. Thank you for the prod to get it finished….so I can start a Peregrine!
Right now, the new Nest sweater. But I love everything they do
I love dreaming about the sweaters and accessories in Strange Brew. But I have just started knitting the Timber Mitts from the latest collection and OMG! These are winners!
Only one favorite?! antler pullover is wonderful
One more vote for Love Note
Krikey, do I have to decide betwixt the Rye socks and the Antler cap?
The World’s Simplest Mittens!
Barley is my fave go to hat of all time, but Flax is probably my actual favorite
Strange Brew sweater. The pattern is versatile and size inclusive.
po blanket with pop pop popcorn
The whole Strange Brew phenomenon, cartography, compass cowl , barley hat…do I have to choose just one?
I absolutely love the Flax sweater ❤️
Mountain Mist is on my todo list
The World’s Simplest Mittens is my favorite Tin Can Knits pattern. It takes the mystery and angst out of knitting mittens and there’s a size to fit every hand. Love it!
Nest Sweater is my favorite. It’s busy but not too busy.
LoveNote and Beloved…. And any other pattern they design!
I made 2 Love Notes in quick succession and a bunch of Antler hats, many as gifts. All are loved and worn on repeat!
Bounce is probably my favorite but I think I have knit more tincanknits patterns than any other designer(s) combined. I love their style and elegance and they always have a great quick knit for a gift.
Strange Brew, or maybe Love Note – hard to pick one!
So many favorites- Gramps on a baby, Snap hat to use up a whole bag of those little balls left from knitting socks, 2 of Joji’s Heartstrings (knit both in the same month) from the TCK collaboration ❤️ on My Sleeve… but my most knit TCK pattern has to be the World’s Simplest Mittens. No exaggeration, I have knit more than 40 pair, often in batches of 3-4 (6?) at a time. For myself, my family, loaners for the small outdoor school where I volunteer (and run the knit club!), several charities. If it’s getting close to winter, there are mittens on my needles. (It got cool and cloudy and dipped below 60deg a couple weeks ago so I made a big pot of chili and my 2 and 2-1/2 yo grandsons now have new mittens in the Christmas box.)
My favorite Tin Cans knit is Moraine. I just used this pattern with beautiful Lettlopi colors. Can’t wait to wear it!
Strange Brew! Love its versatility on sizes and colorwork options. I have made several for little ones in my family as well as an adult one for myself.
It’s a toss-up between the Snap hat and the Hush sweater from the new collection. I haven’t knitted either, but both are gorgeous.
Strange Brew — infinite possibilities!
Antler Hat
Flax. No doubt. But then there’s Antler which I love too.
World’s Simplest Mitens. Nothing like a great basic mitten pattern
The Mountain mist sweater is one of my favorites for sure.
I haven’t made a Tin Can Knits pattern, but would love to try Boardwalk or Bowline. So fun to see adult and youngster in the same pattern. Thanks!
Adore- ADORE- TCK. Beloved taught me increases and decreases. Flax taught me sweaters. Rye taught me socks. Lush taught me lace and button bands. Now I’m deep into Strange Brew and designing my daughter’s Christmas sweater. I don’t know that I’d be a knitter without TCK- they taught me the basics in the best, best way; and now that I can go beyond basics I’m just as delighted with their more advanced patterns as I was with their free beginner stuff. ALSO, absolutely superlative pattern support. Just next-level. There’s nobody like TCK.
The Barley hat is my go to
Barley Hat!! Knit one for the whole family 2 years ago.
I love their “Little Tern” afghan and it has become my standard baby gift. I love watching the pattern flow from my needles and seeing the lace pattern grow on each end. I have one on my needles right now, in fact!
There are too many! Love Notes, Gramps, Barley hat, and Beloved for sure.
My favorite pattern is the Barley hat. Simple with a twist.
I love the Flax sweater. I’ve knit several.
Antler toque, Love note, Harvest, and Oaken.
Wander for my beautiful grandchildren!
Harvest sweater!
Love Note! I’ve made several in multiple sizes (Grandbaby size! Grownup
Size!).
Malt – simple design that no matter what yarn one uses it always turns out beautifully.
My all time favourite is the Flax sweater…followed closely by The Strange Brew collection!
Gramps! My go to sweater for kids. Because babies need an old man cardigan.
Antler all day every way
I love the patterns from Tin Can Knits! All have really great instructions. My all time favorite is the Love Note…fun and one of the best sweaters I have ever knitted❤️
I love cables but they’ve always been intimidating. The snowglobe hat looks like it’s possible for me to take on. For its more approachable cable pattern, that’s my vote.
Love the simplest mitten
I’ve looked at Love Note for some time now. But then there’s Penny, which wins for favorite — at least today!
I love Beloved. Also planning my first Love Note. Which I’m sure I’ll love ❤️
Lullaby blanket is fun display of many colors! Bought pattern last year & added it to my “can’t wait to do list”!
I love the real-ness of the North Shore sweater! It’s on my Gotta-Knit List
The “Love Note” sweater is currently my fav!
Barley hat! Great for gifting.
Definitely the Love Note sweater! I finally knit my first one earlier this year and I’m planning my next one!
I’ve made four pairs of their aptly named World’s Simplest Mittens. I regularly direct new knitters to their Simple Collection. But, there is a reason that the Love Note is consistently in the top patterns on ravelry— it’s just lovely.
all the gorgeous yolked sweaters ~ who can choose..??!
I love their Flax sweater.
Posey shawl
Undertone by Tin Can Knits is by far my favourite! I’ve made dozens of these fun brioche cowls, big and small for children and adults. 🙂
Gotta be Flax!
Love note
Love the antler cardigan. I am going to make it again in a size 2 for my granddaughter. I love the size ranges included in Tincan Knits patterns.
I loved knitting Bounce for my granddaughter. It offers so many wonderful ways to play with color.
The Simple Collection. What a gift it is for new knitters!
This whole collection is amazing. I have been drooling over the previews. Favorite (most knit) Tin Can pattern is the Maize mittens. I have knit several of their patterns and they are all well written and easy to follow.
I really like TCK’s Triptych mittens – a good beginner pattern for colorwork!
Peregrine such squishy wamth
oh sooooo many sweaters, but will have to choose between Low Tide ’cause of TX weather
Tough choice with that back catalog! My faves are Sitka Spruce, Fly Away, and Sunshine Hat.
The Flax Sweater pattern must be my favorite as I have made four of them!
Antler hat
Ok. I love the Flax sweater- it’s so beginner friendly and perfect in kids sizes
Love their colourwork ❤️ The cartography hat is awesome!
I have just finished grain – and it was so easy to knit and looks amazing
Vivid – love love love
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vivid-2
I love Flax Light. TCK is so great about step-by-step instructions that are easy to follow!
Love Note and the Grandfather Sweater are two favorites to make and wear. .
Probably Moraine! But all the color work is so gorgeous.
Rye Socks, with the cute garter on the front
As a fairly new knitter I have not tried a pattern from tin can knits. I have subscribed to their newsletter for a year or so. I first saw the peregrine pattern there and thought how beautiful is that! So I’ll say it’s my favorite and I can feel I’m gonna give it a try, I may get the Lazy Sunday patterns a d have knits for the entire winter!
I loved working on the Grain shawl.
never made one but just bought pattern for snowglobe and can’t wait to knit it!
Well, the one I knit most often is the Barley hat. So quick and easy and a great gift, it makes anyone look good!
Peregrine is stunning!
Playdate cardigan.
Flax sweater!
Barley and Pop Blanket
I have knit the Barley hat the most of their designs, although I really love the Heart on My Sleeve collection too!
Flax sweater
Knitting a Love Note right now. My first TC knit.
My favorite design is Flax.
So, I just started knitting this year and so far have only knit the Barley and the Flax from Tin Can Knits. Flax was my first knit sweater, and I am already thinking about knitting another one, so I guess that’s my favorite (so far! The Love Note is certainly on my list of must knits for the near future!)
Love the new issue, thanks!
Oh so many beautiful designs from Tin Can Knits – I love their Strange Brew color work collection and have knit many of the Antler Hat!
The Love Note sweater.
POP Blanket is my favorite pattern. The blanket is so cheerful and fun to make.
Their Banff hat has to be my all time favorite, I’ve knitted at least 10 for various family members, new babies, etc!
The Barley hat…LOVE it! Have made adult size (for me in a great “lettuce” green) and also several for children. It’s perfect. Also their mittens!
I love anything from their Simple collection.
They have so many amazing hats. BUT – the Marley blanket caught my eye and I love it more than words can say.
barley. . . oldie but a goodie!
The Love Note may be my favorite of all!
Bounce blanket! I love making it as a baby blanket for friends.
I love the new Peregrine pattern and the Pop blanket is in my queue, but Flax is the GOAT!
Love Note – the first serious contender to the Ranunculus!
I like so many of the Tin Can Knits designs. I have made the World’s easiest mittens, the antler hat, and 3 Grain shawls. I love the tutorials which are very helpful and easy to follow. If I need to knit a baby gift I usually choose a TCK pattern because the patterns are contemporary and I am thinking they might be used and appreciated by the recipient.
Absolute favorite Tin Can Knits? Hard choice as every pattern is wonderful! I do think the one I love the best is “Vivid”. I am the eldest of 9 children and each sibling has children – lots of nieces and nephews! This blanket is always received with oooos and ahhhhhs and becomes utterly loved!
I’ve always been drawn to their Mountain Mist pattern (sweater and/or hat), but have yet to knit either.
I have made 3 of the Mountain Mist hats for my grandsons. I have also knit a pair of Rye socks. I have had my eye on Banff Mitts.
It’s the Antler sweater for me.
live note!
I so like the Love Note sweater x
The Malt Boanket – my first TCK pattern I made!
My first ever finish knitted garment (I only have 2 so far ) was the free shawl, I love it so much. I hope to build my skills to make these stunning patterns, I really love the jumpers
So hard to choose, but I definitely love the Lush cardigan and the Vivid blanket!
I love the Beloved Bonnet, worlds simplest mittens and simple yet effective cowl!!

I adore the Anthology hat and use it constantly as a base for all my colourwork ideas
I love the sunshine hat.
Flax is my favorite!
Barley hat!
Love the Snap hat pattern!
The flax pullover,I’ve made many children and adults.
the Sunshine pullover! geometric-y colorwork 🙂
The Pop blanket has me swooning!
Perigrine
I want to make one in the near future
Peregrine is definitely my favorite!
Antler
Really hard to pick as I have knit so many but I think Love Note comes out on top.
Gotta love the Love Note! Tin Can Knits has so many wonderful patterns.
Definitely the Pop blanket!
The Peregrine has ME written all over it….can’t wait to knit!
This is a very hard choice. So I’m cheating a bit and picking Strange Brew.
Campfire is my favorite Tin Can Knits pattern
I made the Little Tern Blanket in A Year of Techniques for a new grand niece, and I love the pattern. But I really love the new ‘Peregrine’ – would like to make that one this winter!!
I keep going back to flax for baby sweaters—any yarn in any color is perfect for any baby!
Dog star!
I only heard of Tin Can Knits recently on Reddit, so I have to go with the larger Peregrine!
This was my first set of mittens and it still holds up!
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-worlds-simplest-mittens
My Lovenote sweater.
I love the Gramps sweater.
Barley hat, but many to love!
The Love Note sweater has been on my list a long time.
My favourite tin can knit is the moraine pullover.
Sitka Spruce hat
I love their Learn to Knit series. My granddaughter has finished the Oats cowl and wIll start a matching Barley hat. The patterns have a familiar pattern theme running throughout and support videos on time of need.
Ammolite. I love Tin Can Knits patterns. First sweater was flax.
I am about to make my second Love Note, and I suspect I will someday make a third or fourth! It is my favorite so far.
I did not know about Tin Can Knits until right now but I NEED that Peregrine!!!
I would love to knit the wander sweater.
So many wonderful designs. I love Love Notes and Barley
Dog Star – so sweet!
Strange Brew is my favorite of their patterns.
Flax for the win! Have knit for me and grandsons!
Lovenote. It is beautiful. Harvest comes a close second.
So many TCK patterns to oogle and crave. i have made Peanut and Clayoquot toque several times.
I really like the barley light beanie and the rye socks. Both are very simple but very different and easy to do while I’m watching a movie or just want something easy to do.
Gramps! A favorite of mine and my nephew’s.
TinCanKnits Pop Blanket is my favorite of their patterns
Strange Brew—the pattern “recipe.”
My favorite pattern is Gramps….

I like a lot of their patterns but have yet to knit one. I do have the Antlers pattern and would like to knit the Love note someday!
Oaken!!!
I’ve had ‘flax’ in my queue for a long time
Antler Toque. It’s one if my favorite hats to make for charity.
So many to choose from. But if I had to pick one, it would be the Worlds Simplest Mittens. It’s my go-to for so many reasons. Any size, any yarn, ready to wear or gift in a couple of days.
Lol favorite Tin Can Knits?!?! Lush ❤️ I’ve made several – for babies & big girls – always beautiful! Flax as well – I’ve made lots for babies and big boys
Both of these designs are simple yet elegant & classic ❤️❤️❤️
Phew! Glad you narrowed it down to just hats…hard to pick just one favorite there too. I’d have to say Apple Pie is the one I always go back too
Ha! Not sure why I thought it was just hats ♀️
Flax sweater for sure
Timber is my new favorite! I’m on a “mitten mission.” Everyone (well, nearly everyone) is getting mittens for Christmas this year. I have a stack of Fair Isle, a few texture stitch mitts, but no cabled mittens. “Timber” is fabulous – the perfect combo of texture, heft to keep hands warm, and that cuff!!! which unfolds to completely cover fingers. Brilliant!
My first: Barley
I love the Clayoquot Toque. I’ve made 2 of them, using totally different color combinations and they are both stunning!
Thank you for introducing me to Tin Can Knits! I love Pop Blanket and Estuary.
I’ve only made one thing (Rye socks) and I have my first (only?) Love Note in hibernation (not a Rhinebeck sweater so needs must) thus I’m not sure which one is my favorite… yet?
I love the flax sweater. I just made it for my grandson and now I’m ready to cast one on for myself!
Flax!
I love the flax pattern. I am making about 3 flax sweaters for my first child right now
The Antler Cardigan for Adults… so nice.
Barley Light! A perfect kids pullover! My granddaughters look great and they like to wear it.
Strangebrew!
It’s a tie for me — Pop Blanket was sooo fun to make, but I also keep going back to the Barley Hat.
I am loving that Peregrine shawl!
Grayling
So many in my favorites. Have made the Sitka Spruce hat for a gift. Snowglobe would be a great follow-up. And, one of these days, when I’m ready for a big, non-portable project, Fly Away.
I love Hearthstone, though Harvest is a close second. Or maybe Flax? Nope, Hearthstone. 🙂
I have used ‘Antler’ over and over. The hat is great for any size & men love it. The sweater makes a perfect gift for a child.
Embers sweater!
Maize! About to cast on with some beautiful stashed Manos classica for a gift
Your question is too hard, there are too many great patterns! Today I’m choosing Antler cardigan.
I love the Little Tern blanket. It is so much more interesting than a basic baby blanket!
Barley was one of the first hats I tried when learning to use a circular needle.
Harvest
The Beloved Bonnet- make it for all my friends’ new babies.
I have made many pairs of mittens for donation from The World’s Simplest Mittens pattern. Another favorite is the Antler toque.
Flax! It is where it all begins….
So hard to pick one favorite! Definitely love all the hats and the new Snowglobe is definitely on my “to knit” list. The World’s Simplest Mittens are a favorite quick mitten pattern. And lastly I hope to make a Strange Brew sweater, but will probably have to wait to 2023 as my queue is long right now.
I really love “Love Notes”, a Tin Cans design that celebrates all sizes of women.
The Antler Toque is one I make frequently to give away to people in need. I also make a lot of the The World’s Simplest Mittens, too. The Barley is another frequent flyer on my needles to give away….
All of their patterns are incredibly well written!
I love the flax pullover. I have knit several for baby shower gifts. The pattern is easy to follow and the end product is so cute!
My granddaughter looks sweet in the Beloved Hat and the Antler hat is also fun to do.
Barley is my grandsons favorite hat si naturally it is my favorite.
A recent favorite is the Lazy Sunday fingerless mitts!
The Beloved Bonnet. Fairly quick but with a start that makes you think, “How is this even going to be a hat?”
I’m sorry, but I’m a crocheter/stitcher/hooker who doesn’t knot, so no favorite pattern. But I love beautiful yarn!
I can’t decide between two: Strange Brew (I’ve printed several of her coloring sheets) and the Antler Pullover. Both have been in my To-Do List since I first saw them.
Love Notes. I’ve knit three already. It’s hard to stop!
The worlds simplest mittens.
Just discovering them now! I have to pick a favorite? All the hats look great!
Snow Globe looks to be my next favorite!
I have made flax 2 times. Harvest 2 times. Barley once, mittens lots of times, old gramps once, socks…play date, antler hat. I simply have to say I love them all!

My favorite Tincan Knits pattern is the Pop blanket!
Estuary.
Such a beautiful lace shawl.
I like many but have made none. I want to try this hat. Love Atlas.
Antler mittens!
It is so hard to choose just one! I’ve made many Barley hats as they are fun and easy to make but look more complicated and interesting then just a plain hat.
I can’t decide between rye light socks and the antler toque

I’m new to Tin Can Knits but so far I love everything I’ve seen. Thanks!
I loved making the Antler sweater.

My favorite are Sitka and Antler.
I love so many of their colorwork designs but the only thing I’ve actually knit is the Love Note so I’m choosing it with Flax a close second.
Flax, so far.
I’ve never knit anything by Tin Can Knits but I just signed up for their email and I LOVE the fingerless mitt pattern in Lazy Sunday so that will definitely be in my future!!
As a Doctor Who fan, I love the saying, “You never forget your First Doctor” (which is Tom Baker for me). As a knitter I would say, “You never forget your First Tin Can Knit” (which is Flax for me). It is a lovely knit that suits just about everyone.
Flax is my favorite most knitted pattern
I love Mountain Mist. And I would love to try Atlas 🙂
I like Strange Brew, but I am craving the pattern Love Note. I have knit several of their hats but can’t get Love Note off my mind. Might have to give in…

Aargh! How are you supposed to choose? Suffice to say that I will be looking for Tin Can Knit patterns when I need a pattern for just about anything. I love The Simple Collection learn to knit patterns, and I guess my first go-to will be the Rye socks, either original or extra crispy; I mean, light.
It’s hard to pick a single favorite – they have so many wonderful patterns! The antler hat is definitely a contender.

I love the Bumble hat! Fun to do, not “ instant” gratification, but “ pretty fast” inspiration!
Winding Way socks! Winner winner chicken dinner!
Flax sweater. It’s a classic.
The Rye Sock pattern was my safe introduction into sock making four years ago. It’s so well written and friendly with its picture and video tutorials. I knitted pairs for everyone in the family and kicked off a love of sock making that continues today!
Favorite Tin Can Knits pattern? Love Note! I’ve knit three so far…one with fingering and mohair, and two in Hazel Knits DK (one skein each in two colors, so it’s slightly cropped). Perfect Zoom meeting wear; they look fabulous!
So many great Tin Can Knits patterns! Flax and Bailey are my top two.
