Lazy Sunday: Jenny Slate
Dear Ann,
I’m always up for helpless fits of laughter. A couple of knitters I follow on Instagram touted Jenny Slate’s standup show, Stage Fright, on Netflix, so I sat here watching and knitting while Carrie tried to work in the other room.
Jenny totally delivers the belly laughs. Carrie and I were both shrieking as she giddily, mercilessly regaled us with tales from her childhood and her life today.
Bawdy content warning! Although Slate’s parents and both of her darling grandmothers appear in it, this show is for mature audiences only.

P.S. There is a real nice garter stitch blanket at the end, and somebody needs to find out who made it so we can sign that person up for Snippets.
P.P.S. One thing you need to know about Jenny Slate is that she is the voice of Marcel the Shell.

My house circa middle school days is responsible for at least 500K of the Marcel Youtube viewings. WE LOVE him/her/them/shell.
Yes, Marcel is so binge-worthy, first time and every time. I’ll definitely queue her stand up–love her.
