My New Best Friend
Dear Ann,
Well, I did finish the seaming on Saturday. Very pleased with Whitby, and myself. It still needs a few finishing finesses, but it’s all in one piece, it’s wearable, and it fits. Expect to see it around town. A lot.
Meanwhile, I will fill the void with more knitting on this whopper wrapper from Wearwithall. It is getting too big for the subway. Which means I’ll soon be casting on my next whopper wrapper.
Thanks for holding my hand while I sewed up Whitby. Happy Monday, everybody!

Cables and cotton?! I am more impressed than usual with your handiwork. Been meaning to knit my own Whopper Wrapper after seeing the book. You may finally goad me into it, alas, no subway nearby to justify another massive project, but who’s counting?

Fabulous Whitby! I just finished a Whopper Wrapper myself and am now schlepping a sock on the subway. But now that I am unemployed due to government shutdown, maybe I should start another Whopper Wrapper for my at-home furlough knitting!

I adore the sculpted look that is created by the indigo color of the yarn and your beautiful cables. Sort of breath taking, you know?

I just read where at Lion Brand Yarn studio, they are offering free beginners classes for furloughed government workers. So far, I have also heard that there is a Virginia yarn shop doing this as well.
