News and Notes from the Couch
Dear everybody,
We’re all still in the vagued-out holiday zone and hope you are too. Chocolate snowmen: devoured. Holiday leftovers: approaching that tricky moment of Is It Still Good?
We are rallying for five seconds to post a few reminders that we hope will be helpful.
Reminder No. 1: MDK Society! If you’re a Field Guides subscriber from the past year, you have two days left to use your subscriber coupon code to save 10% on your charter membership in our new MDK Society. See all the details and sign up here. Price will be going up soon, so now’s a fine time to join. (Check your Dec. 2 email from us for that coupon code!)
Reminder No. 2: Patty Lyons’s class. Coming on Friday, Jan. 10—Beginnings and Endings. This is the sort of workhorse class that is going to make us all better knitters. A wealth of ideas about beginning and finishing your projects—Patty is a flat-out genius.
Reminder No. 3: Flash sale on Atlas! We’re all making Degen’s 4-Letter Sweater, and our Atlas yarn is the perfect thing for it. To encourage you to dive in, we’ve got a 15% deal going now through tomorrow. Coupon code and details on this hilarious sweater (as well as everybody’s comments on what their four-letter word will be) right here.
Reminder No. 4: The Snippets Show. Coming Wednesday, Jan. 8, noon ET, our first monthly Zoom for MDK Society members. We’re trying to be chill, but it’s hard to be chill when our first guests are Arne and Carlos. They are full of whimsy, sure, but they are also sophisticated thinkers about design, textiles, art.
Reminder No. 5: Ann Weaver’s mosaic class. Coming February 7. Don’t sleep on this one—there’s a gorgeous shawl as the project and Ann’s own Plied yarn in a kit for you, three color choices. She’s a brilliant, skilled teacher online—lucky to have her with us. Details and sign up here.
Reminder No. 6: The Year-End Sale. Thank you all for your stupendous work at helping us empty out our warehouse. We appreciate your noble efforts! The savings continue through the week, so if you haven’t had a look—or if you need to look again—here you go.
Reminder No. 7: Come back tomorrow. We’re announcing one of our very favorite things, and it’s pretty much the perfect way to end one year and begin another one.
So much going on! This is only the start of what is going to be a whale of a year here. Thank you so much for being a part of it all—so grateful to you.
Love,
Ann
Love 1 – 6, intrigued with 7, big grin!
Dear MDK,
