You’ve Got Snippets: April 29, 2023
Dear knitter,
Welcome to your Saturday!
As the ancients said, nothing endures but change. This past week has certainly proved that to us, as we launched a new and improved MDK website.
We changed, we endured, and we celebrated the website equivalent of getting a new water heater, HVAC, and gutters. Hop on the tram for a tour of our new digs and a short tutorial on How to MDK.
We hope you’re enjoying our new site, and we thank you for your patience as we tidy up the loose ends that come with moving so much content over from the old site.
One big cause for joy: the MDK Shop has reopened! Scroll down for our latest temptations for you.
Join us in Nashville!
We’re origami and slip-stitch knitting at our in-person workshop with Olga Buraya-Kefelian. If you’ve already signed up? We cannot wait to see you in Nashville. If you haven’t? Come join us! Many folks come to our events solo and leave with newfound friends. Registration and details are here.
Meanwhile . . .
We had a big time on MDK this week.
Franklin Habit, our man in Paris, was off to Cologne for a big international fiber arts trade show, and he saw wondrous things.
Ann was also on the road, and she packed a pattern and yarn that is so light and frothy that it took up no room in her suitcase.
Of spiky mats and cold plunges: Max Daniels talked about the kind of self-care that feels great—eventually.
For good knitting company this weekend, catch up with Ann’s Zoom conversation with Carol Feller in County Cork.
Remember to enter this week’s giveaway by midnight Central time Sunday night. The prize? Two skeins of Nua Sport for Carol’s Arcade Cap and a copy of Field Guide No. 14: Refresh that includes the pattern.
Thanks for being a part of MDK, and rolling with the changes with us. Our mission is to elevate the knitting life, by publishing something new every day of the year, plus exciting designers, friendly community, and a first-class shopping experience.
Questions? Email us anytime at hello@moderndailyknitting.com, and you’ll get a prompt personal response from a real live MDK person.
Stay healthy, take care of each other, and knit on.
Love,
Ann and Kay

I have often been curious about these FGs, but don’t know what is in each one. At my age, I don’t need the whole set, but am sure there are some that I need right now. A list of each FG and its information would certainly help me. Carrie
