Hélène Magnússon
Hélène Magnússon began her professional life as a lawyer in Paris before she changed course and moved to Iceland in 1995. After learning the language, she studied Textiles and Fashion Design at the Iceland Academy of Arts. She is the author of Icelandic Intarsia Color Knitting, featuring unique Icelandic intarsia as seen in old shoe inserts; Icelandic Handknits, a collection of projects based upon 19th and early 20th-century traditions; and Socks of Iceland, modern projects inspired by Icelandic socks and mittens of the past.
