Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich
Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich is a Jamaican Nigerian New Yorker and author of several books for children, including Operation Sisterhood, an Indie Next List Top Ten Pick and Black Caucus of the American Library Association Best of the Best Selection; Makeda Makes a Birthday Treat, a Chicago Public Library Best of the Year Book; It Doesn’t Take a Genius, a Kirkus Reviews Best Children’s Book of the Year; Saving Earth, a CCBC Choices Book; and Someday Is Now, an NCSS-CBC Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. She’s also the coauthor of Two Naomis, which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. Olugbemisola is a member of the Brown Bookshelf and has contributed to a number of anthologies, including We Rise, We Resist, We Raise Our Voices.
