PINES AND NEEDLES Virtual WORKSHOP WITH ANN WEAVER

This is going to be good. One of our favorite teachers, Ann Weaver, will teach mosaic knitting, a hot new technique—just kidding, it’s a hot old technique!—with the fabulously chic Pines and Needles shawl. Join us! The class includes a bundle of Ann’s exquisite hand-dyed yarn, if you choose to include it. Bang Out a Sweater Virtual Workshop

Bang! Zoom! We’re hosting a multi-session workshop to guide knitters through making a sweater, start to finish. Whether it’s your first sweater or your fiftieth, having Lorilee Beltman leading the way will make for a rich learning experience—and an amazing new sweater.

This will be a virtual workshop series on Zoom. No kit is included, but we provide the pattern so you can get the yarns you’ll need to knit your Bolin Cardigan. $110. (MDK Society members: $100.) Details and registration here.

July 12, 2024: History of Knitting with Franklin Habit: A Virtual Event

On Friday, July 12, we welcome the one and only Franklin Habit, one of the most delightful writers, illustrators, and humans we know.  Bring your knitting, and get ready to laugh, learn, and enjoy yourself at this lighthearted, lavishly illustrated talk.

The subject? Franklin takes us back to the 19th century, to explore a fascinating turning point in knitting history.

June 21, 2024: Sock Tips and Tricks: A Virtual Workshop with Fatimah Hinds

Knitting a sock is pure magic. We’re thrilled that Fatimah Hinds is joining us to share her best secrets for making beautiful socks. A perfect introduction if you’re new to socks, and plenty of tips and tricks for the seasoned sock knitter. Details here for this three-hour Zoom class on June 21, 2024.

Patty’s Favorite Knitting Hacks Virtual Class

Please join us on Friday, May 10, 2024, for an afternoon with Patty Lyons as she digs into her bag of tricks and shares her favorite knitting hacks. From cast on to bind off and everything in between, we will learn the true secret to happy knitting. This will be a virtual workshop on Zoom.

Holiday Open House AT MDK

On Friday afternoon, December 8, 2:00-6:00 PM, we’ll be opening the doors of our beloved Nashville World Headquarters for festive shopping and togetherness, just in time for the holidays. The team is hanging the gnome garlands and firing up the Li’l Smokies crockpot for this one! This event is open to all.

AN INDIGO WEEKEND WITH JAN QUARLES

This workshop is sold out. One of our favorite artists and makers, Jan Quarles, is coming to MDK World Headquarters in Nashville for two days of in-depth workshops, December 9 and 10, 2023.

’Tis the season for knitting wee cute things—together! Join us for a virtual workshop with the queen of gnome knitting, Sarah Schira. On Friday, November 3, on Zoom, Sarah will guide us through making Gnoah, the little guy who started gnome-mania. The kit—included with the class—is irresistible.
