This cardigan works as well for an evening out on the town as it does over plaid PJ bottoms for a cozy night in. It is an elegant, architectural design, a showstopper, but one in which nothing is done just for show.

Notes
This cardigan is worked in one piece from the top down. The back panel is worked first from the center out for each side and the saddles are placed on holders. Next, stitches are picked up for the back and worked to the underarms, with wrap-and-turn short-row shaping for the shoulders. The fronts are worked in a similar manner. The back and fronts are then joined and the body is worked to the bottom.
