Addi Rocket Circular Needles

$15.00 – $22.50
If you’re looking for a go-to circular needle, look no further. We’ve done the looking for you, and these are The Ones, the anointed circular needles that we use every day, for any yarn or project.
A tip for knitting socks on two circulars, as Cat Bordhi taught us: the ideal cable length for this purpose is 24 inches, in a size 1 or 2 most often.
For magic loop sock knitting, Ann likes the 32″ length, size 1 or 2 depending on how tightly you knit.
The Addi Rocket combines the sharper tip of Addi’s Turbo Lace needle with the slick metal coating of the classic Addi Turbo needle. The sharper tip means it’s easier to work with intricate lace patterns or delicate, splitty yarns. and the nearly frictionless surface makes your stitches go smoothly: Rockets are fast!
We’ve been knitting a long time, and over the years we each have acquired comprehensive, if motley, collections of circular needles. The ones we reach for time after time are our Addi Rockets.
It makes sense, because the Addi Rocket combines the sharper tip of Addi’s Turbo Lace needle with the slick metal surface of the classic Addi Turbo needle. The sharper tips mean it’s easier to work with intricate lace patterns or delicate, splitty yarns. Sharper tips may not always be a necessity, but a little pointyness comes in handy with even the roundest, most well-behaved yarn. The Rocket’s nearly frictionless surface makes you feel like a faster knitter (and may even make you a faster knitter).
The name Rocket helps, too, or at least we think so. Like all sports, knitting has a mental component! As kids, we ran faster and jumped higher in our Red Ball Jets sneakers, and now we are knitting faster, and working k2togs and m1s with more precision, with our Addi Rockets.
Nice touches: the cable on the Addi Rocket needle has the perfect amount of flex; it is going to hang slack when you want it to, and stay out of your way. The join is smooth as can be. (Literally) small bonus: the needle size is printed permanently on the cable. It’s tiny, but it’s clear, for those moments when your needle sizer thingie has gone missing.
Try a set of Rockets and let us know how you like them!
