Priss up your powder room, or make a super classy housewarming or wedding shower gift with this pair of linen hand towels.

These two little hand towels testify to the power of combining everlasting, ever-elegant linen yarn with classic stitch dictionary patterns. Knit up a stack of them in your favorite absorbent linen or cotton yarn. Gauge is not crucial here.
The Moss Grid Hand Towel uses a single skein of sport weight linen yarn to play with texture in a way that mimics the vintage woven hand towels we collect and admire. The Chevron Stripes Hand Towel alternates two colors of linen in undulating stripes that quickly turn into a color party, especially if more colors are added into the mix.
Tip for TV knitters: it may be counterintuitive, but we think the chevron stripes stitch pattern is easier to knit than the moss grid knit-purl texture pattern; it’s easier to count those stripes and keep your place in the pattern.
