Handknit Cotton is one of the classic Rowan yarns we have loved for so long. It’s got a nice body to it, and it knits up fast. But really, it’s the colors that make us kind of nuts. It’s our choice for the Picket Fence Afghan and Bodhi Leaf Cloths in MDK Field Guide No. 7: Ease, as well as Log Cabin Cloths featured in MDK Field Guide No. 4: Log Cabin.

For a Picket Fence Afghan do-it-yourself bundle, choose 15 balls of a lighter blue (Lace, Cloud, or Ice Water) and 10 balls of a darker blue (Atlantic, Turkish Plum, Thunder). Add one skein each of three complementary colors for pops of contrast (Flamingo, Goldfish, Canary, Raspberry, Gooseberry, Rosso, Sugar).
